Bickett Machine and Gas Supply, Inc. 1411 Robinson Ave. Portsmouth, has been in operation for 52 years, but under the present ownership since 1975, with F. Michael Coburn as president.

In 1999 Bickett welcomed Eric A. Lewis to its staff.  Eric will be serving as an outside sales representative and oversee the welding supply division.  Jeff Ellis and Dean Hall were given the daily responsibility of the Machine Shop Division. Bickett Machine & Gas Supply serves all welding, safety supplies, industrial and medical cylinder needs.  Along with Propane Gas and supplies, our machine shop is a complete job shop and carries the largest hydraulic hose and fitting inventory in the area and has been fabricating metal iron railing for 50 years.

In April 1999 Bicketts began pumping medical oxygen to service hospitals and medical supply companies. Our modern, state of the art pumping station produces pure medical gases for use in all medical applications.

In 2001 Bicketts opened its web site to provide more of the same professional service that they have provided for the last 52 years.
